Welcome to our Luv-a-French Bulldog home. We are a small, family owned breeder of French Bulldogs and we are excited about this venture. Our love of the Frenchie started about seven years ago when our beloved Pit Bull, Sadie passed away. We were and are still big promoters of the Pit Bull breed trying to educate people that it’s not the breed, but the owner that is at fault for the bad reputation and abuse involved with the breed. Our family still includes our male Pit Bull, Jack who we love dearly. I am a Cal Poly Animal Science graduate and was determined to put my degree to use. I didn’t want to breed Pit Bulls because I felt that it would be too hard to find responsible, decent homes for every puppy. In 2008 we bought our first Frenchie, Madison and knew we wanted more! When the time was right, we set out to find the perfect stud to breed her to. Our efforts were disappointing but educational and we eventually found a stud of our own to add to our family and he is affectionately called Stewie. Our Frenchies are very spoiled and live in the house with us and even sleep on our bed. No one gets any sleep other than the dogs. Hello, my name is Doris! I am a small breeder located in the SF Bay Area. I started with breeding Yorkshire Terriers until I bought my first French Bulldog a few years back. I found them to be perfect little bunnies that went great with my lifestyle. They are compact yet sturdy with lots of energy, however, they are lap dogs when it is time to settle. I choose to be a small hobby breeder because I breed for quality, not quantity. All my dogs are health checked to guarantee that they have no illness or bone issues. I own all my adult Frenchies seeing each one as a loving family member. When you come to choose your beautiful puppy I will show you mom and dad so you may have a little insight into their wonderful temperment and size. I only let my puppies go to their new home no earlier than 8 weeks old, thus guaranteeing that they are old enough and healthy enough to be safely away from mom. If you do live far away I am happy to meet you in different locations to help accommodate you’re driving distance. I also ship my puppies around the world with a puppy nanny at all times throughout their flight to ensure safety. I have owned dogs my entire life.  There has never been a time that I did not have a dog at my side.  I take my dogs to work with me, I travel with my dogs, I run errands with my dogs.  To say they are my children is very true because they are treated as if they were my flesh and blood.  Just two months after I moved out on my own,  I purchased two Jack Russell Terriers, then I adopted a Pit Bull, then I adopted a Chihuahua, then I adopted another Pit Bull and then I purchased my first French Bulldog.  In between all that, I helped as a volunteer foster parent for a local Pit Bull Rescue.  In the two years I fostered for them I helped raise and re-home over twenty dogs.  I found that my schedule allowed me to bottle feed just days old puppies.  I LOVED it!!! I do not consider myself a breeder but rather a Frenchie lover with a passion for breeding healthy Frenchies that I keep in contact with throughout their lives.  I do not have a kennel and I currently only have two female Frenchies that I breed and will only be bred two to three times in their life, health permitting.  With that being said I only have two litters a year and when I do breed, I am very proud to offer quality, well-bred, healthy puppies that strive to meet ideal French Bulldog breed standards. I am extremely selective when it comes to homing our Frenchies because they are our family.  My dogs are raised in my home, under-foot and are well loved. They are on my couches, in my bed, and at my dinner table.  They are fed only the best diet possible including homemade meals and treats. My breeding Frenchies are screened to rule out any potential defects prior to breeding, etc.  In other words, I won’t just breed any Frenchie. All my dogs are loved and remain with me their entire lives.  I expect nothing less for the puppies leaving our homes. All my Frenchies and Frenchie pups are AKC registered. I only offer puppies to discerning homes looking for a loving, life-long companion. Though frequently asked, I do not offer my adults for sale.  When a breeding dog is retired it will live out their lives with me.  However, there are many rescues throughout the United States that should be looked into if an older Frenchie is what you desire.  Some of those rescues are French Bulldog Rescue Network, Short Mugs Rescue Squad, or NorCal French Bulldog Rescue…just to name a few.  Please do your research as there are many rescues that do not act in the best interest of the Frenchies. My name is Kathy & I’m a huge animal lover!!! I grew up on a farm around chickens, pigs, cows, horses and of course dogs. My father, like me, was also a hobby breeder who bred labs. Before I began my current carrier in human medicine, I worked at an animal hospital for seven years. I loved my job and found it more than rewarding but eventually made the decision to become an RN. Both my husband and I work full-time jobs but we do not let it stop us from enjoying life. We live in Riverside County, which is located in southern California. We have four beautiful girls who greatly enjoy helping raise all our Frenchie puppies as much as we do!! We as a family breed for hobby to better the breed and not as a form of income. While we all do get attached to our puppies, watching them find perfect families is such a joy!! Our four daughters along with all of our friends and family, come to our home to hold and help socialize our puppies daily. Their health & happiness are of the most important to us and it’s our belief that a well-socialized puppy has the best advantage when given this kind of love and attention from an early age. I am not new to breeding and I have been breeding Frenchies for six years now. I fell in love with the breed eight years ago when I purchased my first Frenchie, breezy.
